Many people have inquired about the legendary basketball player’s future plans to manage at Parkhead.

Regarding his future goals of managing Celtic, Scott Brown has stated that his status as a club icon will not play a role.

During his 14-year tenure at the club, the Hoops hero won every domestic trophy possible. It makes sense that Brown, 38, would eventually advance to take over as Parkhead’s key man now that he’s in management—he began out at Fleetwood Town and is currently at Ayr United.

Although Brown would be amenable to the discussion in the future, the retired midfield player acknowledges that his prior experience would not give him the right to assume the position immediately and that he would have to demonstrate his suitability for it the gig before it could realistically happen.

“Everyone says that!” he said to the BBC’s Scottish Football show. I believe that I should focus just on taking care of myself. What I did and how I played at Celtic are all things from the past. Just because you played at Celtic doesn’t mean you get promoted to manager. It is not your place to lead Celtic. You must go work for it. You must be certified since you have selected players of high calibre who understand the game and have a decent IQ. You also need to ensure that you can help them improve.

Additionally, you must be passionate about the fans. Yes, I understand their desires and how the club operates, but you still need to drive them.
