Man 43 found dead in Ayrshire after fatal crash A76, just south of the B713 Catrine junction.

The event occurred just hours after a 34-year-old man lost his life in a deadly crash that occurred at around 6:55 p.m. on the A76 between Kilmarnock and Mauchline.

Last night at approximately 10:15 p.m., police were notified of a single vehicle collision involving a blue Ford Fiesta Zetec that had veered off the road and into a tree.

The 43-year-old driver of the car was declared deceased at the site after emergency personnel arrived.

The road was closed to allow for investigation to take place and fully reopened around 9.30am.

“At this trying time, our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends,” stated Irvine Road Policing Unit Sergeant Martin Cunningham.
We are requesting that anyone who was in the vicinity and saw the crash get in contact as we are still conducting inquiries to determine the complete circumstances.


“I would also encourage anyone who may have dashcam footage to get in touch with us if they were driving in the vicinity.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time,” said Irvine Road Policing Unit Sergeant Martin Cunningham.
In order to fully understand the circumstances behind the crash, we are requesting that anyone who was in the vicinity and saw it get in contact.

Additionally, I would like ask anyone who may have dashcam footage from nearby drivers to get in touch with us.
