After learning of Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s season-ending injury over the weekend, the Polish goalie—who had just announced his retirement—made himself accessible and expedited negotiations to come to a mutually agreeable resolution.
As things stand, the Catalans and the Polish player have an agreement in place for him to sign, and he will join the team as soon as possible.
Prior to moving to Barcelona, Szczesny has already resumed training, as disclosed in a recent update from SPORT, and he is making a lot of effort to get back to full match condition.
He has greatly increased his physical activity regimen and intends to be in peak physical condition for his medical check-up on Monday.
