The six feet four-inch, highly-regarded 21-year-old is a hopeful addition to Head Coach Paul Crarey’s team for the final 10 games of the campaign.
After training for several months with the Betfred Super League team, Pye secured his first professional deal with the Red Devils last month.
Additionally, he trained with England’s academy and was chosen for their 2020 Australia globe tour, which was regrettably postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
When the Raiders host the Bradford Bulls at Northern Competitions Stadium on Sunday, the formidable front-row player will be available to make his Raiders debut.
“I’m over the moon to get this opportunity to join Barrow,” Pye stated in a statement to the club website regarding his loan move.
“I’ve been contacting Paul Rowley frequently lately to see if I might go out on loan. I’m eager to get going so we can finally close the deal.
It’s the career move I haven’t yet made. I’m excited to make my senior debut, but in the end, I want to play against more seasoned senior players in order to develop as a player.
“We are pleased to welcome Jamie Pye into the Raiders family for the remainder of the season,” Barrow Raiders head coach Paul Crarey stated.
Jamie is a fantastic young talent who has the endorsements of Salford’s John Fieldhouse and Paul Rowley.
“We are extremely grateful to Paul and the Red Devils for providing us with the chance to assist in the growth of one of their best prospects.”
“We are delighted to bring in such a promising young forward as we push on towards the end of the season,” rugby director Andy Gaffney stated.
“Jamie is ready to get out there, play, and grow, which can only bode well ahead of a vital run of fixtures. The need for enthusiastic young forwards is as important as ever.
“Since this is not the first Salford player we have loaned out in recent months, I would like to thank everyone at the club for believing in us and entrusting us with his development, as it has given us a quality prop for the last ten games.”
