Salford have secured a new addition to their squad.

Rugby League Live can confirm that Salford Red Devils have agreed to terms with Joe Bullock, a forward for Warrington Wolves. Bullock has joined the Reds and could play this weekend against the Huddersfield Giants.

For the most part of the season, Salford has been without options in the pack, so Bullock’s arrival gives head coach Paul Rowley a welcome boost before the transfer deadline at the beginning of next month. On Tuesday, the 31-year-old worked out with Salford.

Formerly of Barrow Raiders and Wigan Warriors, Bullock was linked with a move to Salford in the off-season, when Warrington were looking to secure a deal for Oli Partington. Bullock ultimately signed a new contract with the club earlier this season but is now heading out on loan for the second time this season, having joined Hull FC earlier in the year.

Born in Blackpool Bullock gained recognition in the Championship at Barrow before joining Wigan in 2019. Since then, he has made 102 Super League outings.

Salford is currently battling for position in the play-offs, behind second-place Warrington by only two points. With ten rounds left in the season, they are four points ahead of Leeds Rhinos, the only team outside the top six with a genuine chance of qualifying for the finals.

As for Warrington, they secured an early deal to bring Luke Yates to the club on Monday, with the Huddersfield Giants captain seeing his move to the club accelerated having agreed to join the club in 2025.
