Police Probe Beith after death of man following attack at hotel

Following the death of a guy who attacked six people at a hotel in Glasgow, an investigation will be conducted.

We previously detailed the assault and injuries that Badreddin Abdalla Adam Bosh caused to three asylum seekers, two hotel employees, and a police officer at the Park Inn hotel in the city in June 2020.

In the middle of the attack, Bosh, an asylum seeker, was shot by police and died.

It has now been decided to establish a Fatal Incident Inquiry (FAI) in the wake of the incident that occurred four years ago and the death of the 28-year-old Sudanese man.

The Lord Advocate has determined that it is in the public interest to establish a formal inquiry (FAI) to look into the complete circumstances surrounding the unfortunate incident, according to the Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal (COPFS).

The Procurator Fiscal conducted a comprehensive and unbiased inquiry into the broader circumstances surrounding Bosh’s death, which led to the decision.

“The Lord Advocate has decided that a discretionary FAI should be held into the circumstances of Badreddin Adam’s death to ensure that there can be a full public hearing of the facts of the case,” stated Kenny Donnelly, Deputy Crown Agent for COPFS.

The Procurator Fiscal will keep working towards the probe, and there are things that need to be done before the investigation can start in court.

“Updates on progress will continue to be provided to Mr. Bosh’s family.”
