Prior to Birmingham City’s League One campaign, Chris Davies was named the new manager of the team. He left Tottenham Hotspur and his coaching position under Ange Postecoglou to take on his first managerial position.

For Davies, the appointment has been in the works for several years. He was forced to give up playing when he was in his late teens, but he spent many years coaching, mostly under Brendan Rodgers, who he followed from Swansea to Liverpool, then Celtic, and finally Leicester City. However, Davies has already stated that he wants to take on management roles.

After spending time as a coach and learning under some of the most illustrious names in British football, Davies is obviously planning his next moves now that he has been given the chance to manage for the first time.
“I want a well-run club that can support my goals,” he earlier stated to the Coaches’ Voice. “I think I’ve established myself as a top-tier assistant, and I’m now prepared to take the next move. Alternatively, based on opportunities, I might stay on as an assistant for a little bit longer.
