Following his disappearance, the family and friends of a British teenager attending a music event on Tenerife have made a frantic request for information.

After spending the night out, Jay Slater, 19, went missing, according to a friend. He had gone to stay with someone he had met over the vacation.

According to the acquaintance Lucy Mae, Jay would not have realized how far away he was from their accommodations because it was “in the middle of nowhere.”

Debbie, the mother of Jay, said today that she was “beside herself with worry,” in her first remarks since landing in the Canary Islands.

She stated, “I’ve only been in Tenerife for about 10 minutes, and I’ve just had a quick chat with someone from the British Embassy and am waiting for them to call back so I know a bit more.” She was speaking from the south of the island, where her son had been staying.

Thus far, the consulate has been excellent. Naturally, I’m a mess of anxiety, which is why my oldest son and I flew out here to see what we can do to support.

We simply hope that Jay is found by the police or another party. I am aware that a helicopter and a mountain rescue crew are on the scene.

“When your youngest son disappears, nothing will ever be adequate, yet it seems like the police here are taking this very seriously and putting in their best effort.

“He would have consumed a fair amount of alcohol having attended a three-day festival,” she continued, “but Jay was snapchatting with friends prior to his disappearance and appeared to be in good mental health.”

“I believe it stemmed from his lack of familiarity with the island, as it was his first visit. He was somewhat lost in his sense of direction and did not realize that the distance from his disappearance to his vacation spot was ten hours on foot.”

Lucy added that after it ran out, he was last seen “in the middle of the mountains with nothing around.”

The area is in the National Park of Teno, often known as the Rural de Teno Park, which is well-liked by hikers.

Santiago is the closest town to Teide. According to Lucy, she is currently looking for her companion on the island feverishly.

Her pal vanished, and she told men about it. “He’s gone on a night out, he’s gone to a friend’s house, someone that he has met on holiday,” she claimed.
