Lloyd Kelly, a defender linked to Tottenham, is set to depart from Bournemouth this summer.

Following their 2-1 loss to Chelsea earlier today, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has verified this.

Following the match, Iraola stated in an interview with BBC Radio Solent Sport that the player had played his last game for the Cherries.

The youngster has been linked to a transfer abroad for a while now, with Tottenham and Newcastle among the teams interested in signing him.

Kelly has apparently been pursued by Spurs since last summer, when they reportedly made a £20 million approach for the gifted center-back, which Bournemouth rejected.

The midfielder reportedly consented to a move to Newcastle instead, according to recent sources, despite the North London club’s purported interest.

Following a verbal agreement between the parties, writer Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato said last week that Newcastle United is expected to sign the English center-back as a free agent.

With his wealth of Premier League experience, Tottenham would undoubtedly be upset if they were unable to recruit him for nothing.

Furthermore, Spurs may have benefited greatly from his versatility in playing as a left-back, particularly in light of the fact that they lacked a worthy replacement for Destiny Udogie in that role.

However, as of yet, there has been no formal confirmation of his relocation to Newcastle.
