After being released by Bradford City earlier in the off-season, young defender Noah Wadsworth signed a one-year contract with Hull City, with the option to extend it for another year if his trial went well. Wadsworth, 19, will work with Hull’s lead professional development league phase coach, Conor Sellars, who previously served as joint head coach with the Bantams.

Sellars said: “I am thrilled to welcome Noah to the club. During his trial, he impressed our staff, and we are excited to work closely with him moving forward.

“We had to act quickly to secure Noah, knowing other clubs were interested due to his impressive history, including his appearances in a League Two first team last season, at such a young age. He brings undeniable quality to our team, being both-footed, highly versatile, and an excellent athlete.”
Wadsworth made his Bradford senior debut as a late substitute in the team’s League Two away match against Harrogate Town in late February. He also entered the game as a replacement in the team’s early April victory over Gillingham at home.

“I am delighted to join the club,” Wadsworth declared. It’s a large club, and my goal is to make the starting lineup.

“My trial was enjoyable. I had a great time playing it even if it wasn’t what I was used to. These guys are all respectable players and make for a nice group.

“Having some recognisable people is a wonderful thing, especially Billy Clarke and Conor Selars. Conor and I went to under-14s together. They are both excellent coaches who will aid in my growth.

“My time at Bradford was enjoyable. It’s a terrific club to grow at, and my progress benefited from the loan periods as well. Playing for the first team makes me very proud, and now that I’m at Hull, I want to see what else I can accomplish.
