Graham Alexander’s team enters their final day encounter at home to Newport County this weekend still in with a chance of breaking into the top seven.
According to the Telegraph & Argus, Halliday stated: “We’ve got one massive game left and will do our best to win it and see where it takes us.” If that means delaying the contracts for a few more weeks, I’m fine with that. I learned pretty early on that the talks do not take place until the last ball is kicked.
“My mindset has been clear throughout the season. Every time I put on the shirt and cross the white line, I’ll give 100% for the club and myself and my family. It’s a bridge we’ll cross when we get there.
Halliday joined Valley Parade in 2022 and has since made 103 appearances in all competitions for the club, 52 of which have occurred this season, scoring five goals and assisting nine times.
He is an accomplished Football League player who has previously played for Middlesbrough, Cambridge United, Doncaster Rovers, and Fleetwood Town.
Alexander’s team has been in excellent form recently, going six matches unbeaten. They need Crawley Town (against Grimsby Town) and Barrow (vs Mansfield Town) to lose tomorrow.
