A family of four was discovered dead in a house in a rural area of southwest Ontario this week, and the Ontario Provincial Police are still looking into the incident.

When OPP police arrived at the home on County Road 13 in the Harrow neighbourhood at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, they discovered the deaths of a mother, a father, and two little children.

The tragedy has had a “huge impact” on the town, according to Essex Mayor Sherry Bondy, and there are growing concerns about the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

In addition, Bondy mentioned that her phone had been “active all day” with offers of assistance and support, and that preparations were being made for a nearby vigil.

The identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their deaths have not been disclosed by the police.

Although the inquiry is still in its early phases, locals should anticipate a significant police presence in the neighbourhood.

The Canadian Press released this report for the first time on June 22, 2024.
