In the hunt for Bradford man John Chege, who has gone missing, a body has been discovered.
Following the discovery of a body in the woods near Station Road in the Wyke neighbourhood of the city shortly after 3.02 PM today, April 18, West Yorkshire Police have cancelled the search. The body is thought to be that of the 64-year-old.
It was stated that Mr. Chege was missing on Tuesday night, April 16. He was 5 feet 7 inches tall, medium built, clean shaven, and wearing spectacles, according to the police. The 64-year-old was last spotted sporting a brown coat with a Mercedes insignia on it, brown smart shoes, a blue suit, and a blue button shirt.
Officers revealed Mr. Chege’s CCTV footage earlier today after growing “extremely concerned for his welfare.”
That the death is not being investigated as suspicious has been confirmed by the police. “Enquiries are ongoing to confirm the identity of the deceased and Mr. Chege’s family has been informed,” a West Yorkshire Police official continued.
