ONT.’S BRADFORD WEST GWILLIMBURY In an alleged case of intimate partner abuse, a man killed his wife and then killed himself, according to police in a town north of Toronto.

At approximately 6 p.m. on Friday, according to South Simcoe police, officers were called to a residence in Bradford West Gwillimbury to conduct a well-being check.

The deaths of a woman in her late 50s and a man in his late 60s were discovered, according to the police.

The alleged murder and suicide, according to the police, occurred “in the days” before they were contacted.

Police say they are “actively investigating the reasons that motivated this tragic incident” in a press statement dated Tuesday.


The couple had lived in Bradford for decades, according to the police, and there had never before been a police call to the residence.
