Following an accident involving a young rider who sustained injuries, POLICE have released an update.
At before 4 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday, August 6), police and an ambulance were called to an automobile collision in Bradford’s Holme Wood area on Tyersal Lane.
The event took place close to the intersection of Sutton Crescent and the road.
Although the boy’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, he was taken by ambulance to Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI).
The Telegraph & Argus was notified this morning by West Yorkshire Police that a 41-year-old lady had been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the legal limit (drugs).
She was freed while an inquiry was ongoing and pending more questions.
Due to the collision, buses had to veer off the road for almost sixty minutes.
At 4:11 p.m., First West Yorkshire announced on X that its 608 bus will need to use an alternate route in both directions.
The route was being rerouted to Bradford via Cutler Heights Lane, Broad Lane, and Holme Wood Road.
Cutler Heights Lane and Holme Wood Road were the alternate routes taken on the return trip.
This diversion eliminated six bus stations along Broadstone Way in the Holme Wood estate.
The collision was cleared just after 5 p.m., and other traffic seemed to be handling it properly.
