Blackburn Rovers are returning to the Championship for another season, and they will be looking for a more successful run this time.
Last season, John Eustace’s team faced the possibility of relegation, but they managed to avoid it by finishing three points ahead of Birmingham City.

At the end of the previous season, they had a busy summer ahead of them, so it remains to be seen if they had accomplished enough. They are still seeking more members, though.

De Lange, 26, represented the Go Ahead Eagles in 34 Eredivisie games the previous season. In the first division of the Netherlands, he recorded eleven clean sheets, helping his team advance to the Europa Conference League qualifying round.

This summer, Blackburn Rovers have been interested in him for a long time, and they still are. They are still far short of the Dutch club’s estimate, though.

Go Ahead Eagles are seeking £1.25 million, whereas Rovers are currently willing to give about £800,000. This information comes from Nixon. Personal terms are thought to not provide a difficulty, although for the time being the Dutch side are not budging on their asking price.

The 26-year-old shot stopper would add quality to Blackburn Rovers’ side

With 70 Eredivisie outings under his credit, De Lange has demonstrated his ability to perform well at a top level.

Rovers may need to find more funding if they want to persuade the Dutch team to make a move this summer because he has a two-year contract with Go Ahead Eagles and his team is not under any obligation to sell him this season.

Blackburn Rovers need to focus on stabilising this year.

They cannot afford to be in another relegation battle and it’s vital they get off to a good start and build some momentum early on this time around.

There is still plenty of time to complete this transaction and others because the summer transfer window doesn’t close until the end of this month.

That implies that some of Blackburn Rovers’ important players could still leave, and if they don’t find a suitable replacement, they might struggle in the attacking positions if Sammie Szmodics and other players move.

This week marks the start of the season, and Blackburn Rovers will be playing on opening night. This Friday, they are scheduled to play Derby County. The Rams, who were just promoted from League One, could struggle in the second division, so this game will be a fair indicator of where they stand.
