Today at 3 p.m., the clubs square off in a League One match at the Weston Homes Stadium. Posh will be looking to win their first game at home to kick off the season.

And Taylor is eager to watch how the teams play. Taylor assisted in the development of current Posh players Archie Collins, Joel Randall, and Jack Sparkes while they were all together at Exeter City. In August 2021, Randall moved to Posh for £1 million, and Taylor was Exeter’s chief.

Rovers signed 16 players in the summer transfer window, 12 of whom are 23 or younger with a view to selling them in the future at a profit. Posh have a great reputation for doing just that, while also having success at League One level.

They make significant bets on unknowns, but they also back some really good players, Taylor told Bristol Live. They do get it right most of the time, and they publicise it incredibly effectively, so full respect to them. “I sold them a player for over £1 million when they were in the Championship, and I was with a League Two team.” It’s a model that draws in younger players.

Peterborough would come to mind if I were a young player choosing a side in this league because if I perform at any level, I’m in the store window and everyone in the football world knows to watch Peterborough before any other team at our level.

“That is our desired location. They sign young players to help them grow and work with them in a specific method that makes them become assets that can be sold. To some extent, it’s what we want to be, but they’ve also proven it with wins, promotions, and being very near the top of League One, which is something also we want to achieve. Even if they may be a little bit ahead of us, we can still learn a lot from them.

They have a new-look team in certain positions, but but I know three of their players better than anyone and they’re not the young players I had in that development stage. They’re not young players now. Some have played in the Championship, some have played 300 games, some have been promoted from League One.

They are a powerful, conventional League One squad. We seem to be saying that every week. a previous season’s play-off squad. They are still who they are. They have a top four that could play for any side in the league and two of the best central midfield players.

However, their backline has seen a transformation. Some true talent has left, since they have evidently lost their skipper and sold a very excellent player to Southampton. They’ve enhanced and added to it, but when it comes to simply getting into a rhythm, there are specific spots on the pitch that we want to target and receive the ball in.

Even though they haven’t yet won at home, they have proven to be a formidable pressing club with lots of speed and power in every game I’ve watched them play this season.
