11 guys are being held in Bristol on suspicion of trying to kill after a double stabbing.
According to Avon and Somerset Police, the attack occurred on Sunday at around 4.40 a.m. close to Rawnsley Park in Easton.
Eleven guys have been detained by police in connection with the event; all are being suspected of attempting to kill.
They’re all still under police arrest.
A portion of Bristol has been granted enhanced stop-and-search powers, which went into effect at 7 p.m. on Sunday and will initially last for 24 hours, according to the force.
On Sunday afternoon, Superintendent Lisa Simpson gave permission to exercise the authority under Sections 60 and 60AA of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act.
In order to stop serious violence, uniformed cops will have the authority to stop and search any person or vehicle inside a designated area for a weapon.
“We do not undervalue the concerns of the local community in light of this recent incident of knife crime and serious violence in Bristol,” Ms. Simpson stated.
