Erol opened his reflections on the evening’s game by saying, “I’m happy with how we have been performing the last four games.” I mentioned that the four games before that are the ones to help us regain our self-assurance, think clearly, and be upbeat. Bravo to the players; the team is performing admirably. Additionally, the team performed well today following their victory over Bristol City.
“After a derby, you usually feel a little more at ease. Today, our squad worked really hard and did a great job creating situations and chances in the first half. We also scored a wonderful goal, and it wasn’t from a set-piece!
You will always feel so much better and be willing to attempt much more when you win games. We therefore regained our confidence in the last few games. I’m hoping we can showcase more of this in the last ten games.
We’ll approach it game by game and see what results we obtain in the end. There are thirty points available, and we aim to obtain the most by working hard.
Playing from the back was excellent, Erol continued. Josh Bowler provided a great assist, and the move from the left to the right was well-executed.
He was hoping to play the final game with Famara, against his former squad. We didn’t use him that way, and looking back, I believe it was a wise choice. He was upset that he couldn’t play, and I can see that.
He returned it with an objective, but I kept him for today. He has experience; we should not forget that he played in the Championship for four years and scored almost fifty goals. He can demonstrate it once more, even though the past 1.5 years may not have been what he had anticipated. It was a solid beginning, and I hope he can maintain that level of play for the next games.
