Tracey Wood, 47, a resident of Carlisle, was last seen on  5.

Following the discovery, police say they are supporting her family.

“Police can confirm that a woman’s body has been found in the River Eden, near Bitts Park, Carlisle,” a Cumbria Constabulary spokesperson stated.

The statement went on, “Officers found the body just after 1pm today, 9.” “The Tracey Wood family is aware of this and is receiving support from the officers at this time.”

In pursuit of Ms. Wood’s car, a search and rescue operation was carried out in the Carlisle neighbourhood of the Sheepmount on Sunday.

To fully determine how long the blue Nissan Juke with registration number T3TRA may have been there, Cumbria police were asking for information from anyone who may have spotted the car.
