Celtic reach agreement to sign another “amazing” PL ace

According to Scottish football journalist Anthony Joseph, Crystal Palace has received a request from Celtic over a possible sale of Jeffrey Schlupp, and it is also thought that the London team is willing to sell this summer.

This summer, Brendan Rodgers has been trying to add players to the Celtic team in an attempt to win the league for the fourth time in a row. With players like Viljami Sinisalo, Paulo Bernardo, and Kasper Schmeichel, he has already bolstered the team. Currently showing interest in transactions including Ben Doak, Bobby Clark, Adam Idah, and Jeffrey Schlupp, it appears the Bhoys are still hoping to add a few new players before the transfer window closes.

Celtic Register Interest in Jeffrey Schlupp

Jeffrey Schlupp has been identified by Brendan Rodgers as a possible summer transfer target; Celtic’s interest in the 31-year-old will probably be determined by his remarkable adaptability. The Crystal Palace player might be the perfect way to strengthen the depth of the Celtic Park side because he can play in midfield, out wide, and in advanced areas.

In his eleventh season in England’s top level, Schlupp made 29 league appearances for the Eagles, tallying two goals and two assists, including a finish that Oliver Glasner dubbed “amazing”. His expertise is unquestionable, having played in 268 Premier League games over his career. This, along with his versatility in playing a variety of tactical situations, might make him an excellent addition for Rodgers.

Following a faultless preseason that saw them thrash teams like Chelsea and Manchester City, the Glasgow team began the Scottish Premiership season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Kilmarnock. They appear to have established themselves as the league’s favourites once more in their quest for a fourth consecutive domestic championship.

Schlupp’s profile makes a lot of sense because, while Rodgers’ starting eleven is undoubtedly strong enough, adding another alternative to bolster the depth in many areas at once would be a wise decision.

What kind of cash package will be involved is still unknown. But considering Crystal Palace’s transparent position on his sale and the fact that the player’s contract expires in the summer of 2025, Celtic will be hoping to secure a good value deal.
