Currently, Adam Idah is with Celtic on loan for the end of the current campaign.

The Irish international’s five league goals in Scotland come from his opening five league outings.

Brendan Rodgers’ team turned two losing outcomes into wins with braces against Hibernian and Motherwell. On Wednesday night, they thrashed Dundee 7-1, including a goal from the fifth spot.

Despite just joining Celtic on a loan until the conclusion of the January transfer window, Idah has received a great deal of praise for his efforts there.

Norwich expects to collect a sizable payment in exchange for agreeing to a sale this summer, given Idah is under contract there through the summer of 2028.

Due to rumours that Idah is eager to stay at Parkhead after his loan period, the Norfolk team is in a good negotiation position.

The forward struggled for consistent game time in David Wagner’s side prior to his loan, featuring 28 times in the league this year but only 12 times as a starter (all stats from Fbref).

In his 28 appearances, he scored six goals and provided one assist, which is just one more goal and one more assist than he has in his five games at Celtic.

Idah is reportedly being drawn to Celtic permanently by the excitement of playing in the Champions League, as the Scottish team has the ability to advance each year to the European tournament’s group stage.

The asking price for the Norwich striker is still unknown, but it is probably going to be higher than the £3 million that was first mentioned after the player’s transfer to Celtic at the beginning of the month.

Idah’s future might also be determined by his parent club’s league standing, as Wagner’s team is vying for promotion to the top division.

Although Norwich is currently outside the top six, they are only three points off of the seventh-place play-off spots.

The club’s negotiation position with Celtic will only get stronger if they can secure a spot back in the Premier League.

Victory this weekend over Sunderland could see them move into the play-off positions, if results elsewhere go in their favour.

Idah may have a value of up to £10 million.
This change is hardly shocking considering that, given Idah’s contract, the £3 million amount that was first reported never appeared all that plausible.

Norwich doesn’t now need to sell, and his worth is only increasing due to his outstanding performances at Celtic.

Although so far this loan transaction is benefiting all parties, it may take up to £10 million to persuade the Canaries to cash in this summer.

If Idah can maintain this kind of play, Celtic would not mind shelling out that kind of money for a player who can score goals this frequently.
