Brutal scenario issued as Celtic arrived in the United States

On Wednesday’s MPH Group-sponsored morning briefing of The Celtic Way, Tony Haggerty and Joe Donnelly joined Hamish Carton.

Celtic has arrived in the United States ahead of their three-game preseason tour of the country.

Early on Sunday, July 21, Brendan Rodgers’ team will play MLS team DC United in Washington to begin their preseason trip. Following that, on Wednesday, July 23, it’s Manchester City, and on Saturday, July 27, it’s Chelsea once more.

The team signed two goalkeepers this week, venturing into the transfer market. After clearing a medical in Rome, Denmark’s top custodian Kasper Schmeichel will soon be joining his new colleagues in Washington. Viljami Sinisalo, a Finnish custodian, signed a £1 million contract with the club, joining from English Premier League team Aston Villa for a five-year period. Celtic also intends to introduce Portuguese midfielder Paulo Bernardo to the world on tour following his £3.5 million move from Benfica to Brendan Rodgers’s Scottish champions. Adam Idah, a striker for Norwich City, is still a target for Rodgers. Idah’s nine goals during his loan at Celtic last season helped the team win both the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup.

The panel talked on what Sinisalo will bring to the party and what Celtic should expect in the three-game miniseries in the States.

The three discussed which Celtic player they thought will shine the brightest both this season and on the tour.
