After seeing a €40 million bid for Atletico Madrid attacker Samu Omorodion rejected, Chelsea stated they “have not forgotten” about him.

Marca claims that Chelsea “will knock on the door” once more this summer, despite Atlético’s lack of interest in selling.

According to the newspaper, the Blues will require “a good amount of money” in order to persuade Atlético to reconsider Omorodion in the upcoming weeks.

Even though they would appreciate a significant sale similar to the one Chelsea has already offered them, they are now adamant that they will not be selling the striker and that they intend to keep him this summer.
Earlier this year, Chelsea made a bid of €40 million, but Atlético turned it down with a “resounding no” and sent Chelsea packing.
They would only take a higher offer for the striker, who they think will only gain more value in the upcoming weeks given his Olympic Games commitment.

After making an impression while on loan at Alavés last season, the striker has other admirers, so if he is successful in doing that, more teams than just Chelsea will be calling on him.

It is believed that his surroundings are open to hearing any and all suggestions, so there is still room for teams like Chelsea to compete on that front.

They will return for the striker; they haven’t forgotten about him. The question is, will their offer be sufficient to persuade Atlético to sell?
