Shortly before 10pm, gardaí received a report concerned for the safety of a man at a residence in Waterfall, Co Cork

A man was discovered dead in County Cork on Saturday night, and Gardaí are looking into the incident.
A little before ten o’clock at night, gardaí received a report regarding a man’s safety at a home in the village of Waterfall.

An Garda Síochána launched its Operational Command protocol and erected a cordon.

Later on, a deceased male was discovered on the premises.

According to a garda spokeswoman, “An Garda Síochána has no further comment to provide as this matter has been referred to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) under Section 102 of the Garda Síochána Ac 2005.”
