A jury at the Central Criminal Court in Cork has found a man guilty of killing his brother, 42-year-old Thomas Dooley, the father of seven children, in October 2022 during a funeral in Tralee, County Kerry.

Yesterday, two men and an adolescent were found guilty of killing Mr. Dooley.

Additionally, one of them was found guilty of assaulting Siobhan Dooley, Mr. Dooley’s wife.

The jury returned to the courthouse this afternoon and found 36-year-old Patrick Dooley of Arbutus Grove, Killarney, County Kerry, guilty by a unanimous vote.

The deceased man’s younger brother is him.

On day 32 of the trial, the jury had been deliberate for about twelve and a half hours.

The deceased man’s brother-in-law, Thomas Dooley Senior, 43, and his cousin, Thomas Dooley Junior, 21, both of Bay 10, Halting Site, Carrigrohane, Cork, were found guilty of Thomas Dooley’s murder yesterday by the jury.

A male teenager was also found guilty of the murder by the jury.

Yesterday saw the delivery of a guilty decision in the case of Thomas Dooley Junior, who was accused of beating and causing harm to the deceased’s wife.

Moreover, the decisions in all four cases were unanimous.

On Tuesday morning, the jury will continue deliberations in the case of the two remaining defendants.

They are Daniel Dooley, 42, of An CarraigĂ­n, Connolly Park, Tralee, Co. Kerry, and Michael Dooley, 29, of Bay 11, Halting Site, Carrigrohane Road, Cork.

They are both the deceased man’s cousins.
