Tragedy as man dies after air ambulance called to emergency in Coventry

A man has tragically died after an air ambulance was called to an emergency in Coventry. The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was among the 999 response to the call to report a medical emergency at a house in Stoneywood Road at just after 9.30am this morning (August 1).

West Midlands Police were also called. A West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) spokesperson confirmed that, sadly, medics could not save the man. “We were called to reports of a medical emergency at a private address on Stoneywood Road at 9.33am,” the WMAS spokesperson said.

“Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was found to be in a critical condition.”
