Goalkeeper Connal Trueman has joined Crawley Town on an emergency seven-day loan from Championship team Millwall.
Eddie Beach is injured and Joe Wollacott is abroad with Ghana on international duty, so Trueman joins the team in time for tomorrow’s (October 8) Bristol Street Motors Trophy matchup against AFC Wimbledon, one of his old clubs.
Since the short-term loan agreement expires on Monday, October 14, Trueman will also be available for Saturday’s Sky Bet League One encounter against Shrewsbury Town.
The 28-year-old spent eight years playing for Birmingham City, his hometown team, where he made 14 appearances before joining the Lions.
Trueman enjoyed loan stints at Leamington, Solihull Moors, AFC Wimbledon, Swindon Town, and Oxford United when he was at the Blues.
