Eyewitnesses say shops and buildings have been evacuated and roads have been closed off

Armed police were then in Church Street, Crewe later that morning.
Around nine police vehicles were seen on Church Street and near the market
Armed officers, police dogs and regular officers were at the scene
Police were called to a property at around 7am after getting a call to say there was a man was inside a flat ‘possibly armed with a crossbow’.
34-year-old man arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and is currently in custody.
