A man has sadly died following an incident on the Dartford Crossing that saw the bridge closed for around an hour on Friday. Emergency services were called to concerns for someone on the bridge shortly before 5:20am.
Police closed off the bridge while they attended the scene. The closure lasted for around an hour before reopening at 6.30am.

he closure resulted in heavy traffic in the area on approach to the bridge. An Essex Police spokesperson said: “As part of our response to this incident, traffic was held for a time and we would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding.”
