There are delays for drivers on the northbound side.
Following a collision, drivers near Stoke-on-Trent are being advised to expect delays on the M6. Due to the collision that occurred on the northbound side between junction 16 for the A500 and junction 17, three lanes are temporarily closed.
The number of automobiles involved and the existence of any major casualties are still unknown. By 4:30 p.m., normal traffic conditions should be restored.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix reports: “Three lanes closed and heavy traffic due to accident on M6 Northbound from J16 A500 (Stoke-On-Trent / Crewe) to J17 A534 Old Mill Road (Sandbach/Crewe).”

According to Inrix, there is stop-start traffic on the northbound A500 D Road between the A34 Stone Road (Hanford Interchange) and A5271 Road (Porthill Bank) as a result of motorists escaping the congestion on the M6.
According to Inrix, there are significant delays because of the earlier collision on the northbound M6 between junctions 16 and 17. It takes 65 minutes to get there. Three, four, and first lanes are blocked.
