Dwight Gayle, a former striker for Crystal Palace, has signed for Derby County on a free transfer through the conclusion of the 2023–24 campaign.

The 34-year-old left Stoke City during the January transfer window, making him a free agent.

League One leaders Derby are going to Brasnley this weekend, then on Tuesday they will play at Pride Park against Nathan Jones’ Charlton.

At the beginning of the 2013–14 season, Gayle moved from Peterborough to Palace, where she played for three seasons, scoring twenty-five goals and dishing out three assists across all competitions.

After leaving to join Newcastle United, the striker scored 23 goals in 32 Championship games, propelling the team back into the Premier League.

Additionally, Gayle spent a stint at West Brom during his career.
