Medical booked as Derby county confirm done deal

Derby County enjoyed a busy transfer window with 11 signings through the door but missed out on a striker as deadline day came and went.

Head coach Paul Warne had targeted a number nine, but deals were either for big money or players opted to stay and fight for their place at their parent clubs. Still that has not stopped fans from debating where Derby should be looking next with the January window still to come.

A striker may be on the shopping list again with Derby no doubt set to rethink their options in their first season back in the second tier. And the European market might not be out of the question given they raided Sweden for Jacob Widell Zetterstrom and the Netherlands for Kenzo Goudmijn.

Both of those players contributed massively to the victory over Bristol City at the weekend, proving value can be found outside of England when it comes to talent. It is something the club will continue to explore and one fan say there are international players in the squad who can help.
