For the first time since he was traded at the trade deadline last year, Patrick Kane made his way back to Chicago and entertained the fans with a vintage show—albeit one that initially came at the Blackhawks’ price. With two points at the conclusion of the game, including the game-winning overtime basket, he helped the Detroit Red Wings advance to the postseason and increased his point run to eight.

Frank Seravalli has scored 28 points in 27 games and appears to be developing. That’s an 85-point season-long pace. On the DFO Rundown today, we discussed this with

If you could count on one hand, that is what I would propose, but even then, I’m not sure I would choose anyone other over Kane. And that is Kane in the present moment; it is neither history nor vintage. That’s one player I would want on my club, and the Detroit Red Wings are a playoff team in large part because of him.
