Dragons Illawarra made a shocking statment as the appoint Bremner as the Female Football Manager

The St George Illawarra Dragons are delighted to announce Samantha Bremner’s important job as Female Football Manager, her return to the team. Samantha is a legend in rugby league.

Bremner, the club’s first-ever NRLW captain and a trailblazer for women’s rugby league, brings a wealth of leadership, experience, and a deep network within the sport with her.

Bremner, the top player for the Dragons in the NRLW and a key member of the women’s team, led the team during its historic inaugural NRLW season in 2018. Her on-field accomplishments, which include nine Test matches for Australia and seven NSW appearances, are similarly remarkable.

Her return to the Dragons, after she decided to retire from the Sydney Roosters at the end of the current campaign, is a huge accomplishment for both the team and the women’s division.

Bremner will take over the club’s women’s football program on November 1st, taking command of the coaching structure and overall routes. She will also focus on developing the next wave of female rugby league players and helping to shape the Dragons’ NRLW roster.

Bremner declared that she was savouring the chance to rejoin the team in a pivotal capacity.
