Luke McCowan, a midfielder, and Tony Docherty, the manager of Dundee, have both acknowledged the support of the Dark Blues.

The club’s most recent victory at St Johnstone saw another sizable away crowd, vaulting them into the top half.

The essential objective is still to survive, and Dundee has three games in eight days, starting this Saturday at home against Motherwell, to give them that opportunity.

Following that is a rescheduled midweek home game against Rangers, followed by a visit to Pittodrie to play Aberdeen.

The fans answered Docherty’s request to be the “12th man” on Saturday, having done so last week.

Docherty added, “The players have their say about it.” “The feedback from the fans gives them the extra push they need to cross the finish line.”

Regardless of the tier they play in, McCowan continued, the Dundee supporters have been “unreal” this season.

Despite being written off by some at the beginning of the season, he stated the team has so far proven the sceptics wrong.
