A collision on the Edinburgh Bypass led to lanes being closed off to traffic on Tuesday evening. The incident happened at around 6.45pm at the Calder Junction.
Following an accident, drivers are advised to “approach with caution” when entering the Edinburgh Bypass.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 6:43 p.m. after the incident was reported. It took place at the Calder Junction, when certain routes were blocked.
The condition of those involved is not currently known. Traffic Scotland urged motorists to “find alternative routes”.
Traffic Scotland said: “NEW 6.43pm A720- Calder Junction (EB).
“Road RESTRICTED eastbound due to a collision. Road users are advised to approach with caution or find alternative routes.
On their site they added: “The A720 Westbound at Calder is closed due to a road traffic incident.
