One dog was discovered dead and another “seriously injured” following an alleged disturbance in Edinburgh that involved a large number of guys.
At approximately 4.30 p.m. on Friday, police were alerted to reports of a group in Edinburgh’s Calder Park area. One Alsatian dog was found dead at the site.
After significant injuries were discovered, another Alsatian was brought to a veterinarian for care.
A 37-year-old guy was taken into custody and given charges related to the purported event.
On Monday, June 3, he is scheduled to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
Additionally, a 39-year-old woman was charged with an alleged offence involving a breach of peace.
A representative for Police Scotland stated: “On Friday, May 31, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., we were summoned to a report of a disturbance involving a group of men in the Calder Park area of Edinburgh.
When police arrived, they found one dog dead at the site.
Another dog was discovered to have severe wounds and was brought to the veterinarian for care.
“On Monday, June 3, 2024, a 37-year-old man is scheduled to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court after being detained and charged in connection with the incident.
Additionally, a 39-year-old woman was charged with violating the peace, and the Procurator Fiscal will get a report on her.
“There are still inquiries into the incident.”
