Everton have bid accepted for ‘electric’ winger as Ipswich Town chase double deal

HITC can confirm that Hull City has accepted bids from Everton and Crystal Palace for winger Jaden Philogene, joining Ipswich Town in this transaction.

Tim Walter, a German manager, took over as Hull City’s new manager this summer, succeeding Liam Rosenior.
Acun Ilicali, the Tigers’ chairman, has made the decision to alter the dugout after the team failed to qualify for the Championship playoffs the previous season.

However, Walter is now going to lose a few important players as Premier League teams swoop in on two outstanding talents.

HITC understands that Hull have now accepted three offers for star winger Jaden Philogene.

Crystal Palace, Everton and Ipswich Town have all had bids approved for Philogene, who has been hailed as ‘electric’ by pundit Tim Howard.

The highly-rated 22-year-old is now set to make a huge decision about his future, but HITC understands that his representatives are also making other clubs aware of the situation.

Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United have previously been keeping close tabs on Philogene and they have been spoken to, as have former club Aston Villa – who are due money from the deal due to sell-on fees.

Philogene hit 12 goals and six assists in 32 games last season, enjoying a fine season at development at the MKM Stadium.

Premier League clubs have spotted Philogene’s potential and left Hull chairman Ilicali with a rather realistic view of the situation.

Speaking last week, Ilicali noted that he doesn’t want to just make money, but accepts that selling a key player doesn’t have to be a disaster for Hull.

“Everything is true,” said Ilicali. “Of course, if you ask me, I told my fans that I would sell nobody. My idea in football is not to make money. My idea is to make a strong and bigger club. But to make a bigger club, sometimes if a player says I want to go, that’s a different case. For me, if one player changes, it’s not the end of the road,” he added.
