Several fines have been imposed by the MLS Disciplinary Committee in the wake of the 2024 season’s third match.

FC Cincinnati players fined

The Mass Confrontation Policy was broken by FC Cincinnati in the 43rd minute of their match against Chicago Fire FC on March 2, according to the MLS Disciplinary Committee.

Cincinnati and head coach Pat Noonan have received an Official Warning after the team violated the Mass Confrontation Policy for the first time this season.

FC Cincinnati midfielders Luciano Acosta and Obinna Nwobodo, forward Aaron Boupendza, and defender Matt Miazga have all been fined an undisclosed sum for their roles in inciting and/or intensifying a mass confrontation.

Ahmed fined

The Vancouver Whitecaps FC defender Ali Ahmed has been fined an undisclosed sum by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for breaking the league’s simulation-embellishment policy during the 90th minute of Vancouver’s March 2 match against Charlotte FC.
