Right now, Fulham is the front-runner to sign midfielder Scott McTominay from Manchester United this summer.
Newcastle United is one of four Premier League teams that are interested in McTominay. The midfielder is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer. The Magpies have long sought McTominay in an attempt to strengthen their midfield options, but Fulham is reportedly leading the chase for his signing, according to Manchester World.
According to the source, Manchester United is “willing” to sell McTominay this summer if they receive a good offer for his services, and the Red Devils “expect” a bid from the Cottagers for the Scotland international. McTominay played for Erik ten Hag’s team in 37 games across all competitions last season, but he might be traded this summer to raise money for more transfers.
This summer, the 27-year-old has also been linked to moves to Southampton and West Ham, the latter of which just received promotion.
