It has been reported that George and Amal Clooney have bid farewell to Hollywood and will be raising their twins in France. In case you forgot, George and Amal purchased a $8 million property in Domaine du Canadel, France, which dates back to the 18th century, although they haven’t lived there much. It seems like they took drastic steps to make sure they were safe.

George reportedly planted 172 hectares of olive trees surrounding the house, according to a Paris Match story. He supposedly did this to secure their “peaceful life” because there was no fencing on the land, in addition to the aesthetic and gardening reasons.

The frustrating way that Hollywood still treats women of a “certain age” has been called out by Jessica Lange.

Although the couple purportedly owns numerous other homes throughout the world, this one is said to be their primary abode.

According to InTouch Weekly, the multi-million dollar French mansion features a tennis court, a boules pitch, lush gardens, and a swimming pool in addition to the fence covered in olive trees.

Their lives have drastically changed since going there, the insider continued. They claimed that since moving, “George and Amal’s lifestyle has really changed,” and that they can now go about town essentially unseen. There, they sense safety.

For those who don’t know, George and renowned human rights attorney Amal Alamuddin got married in Venice on September 27, 2014, after meeting through a mutual acquaintance in 2013!

Later, on June 6, 2017, the couple had twins Ella and Alexander, who are six years old. A Bassett Hound and a St. Bernard puppy that George gave to Amal complete the family of four.
