A body was discovered on a grass verge in Medway, and a man has been taken into custody. The strange death of Gillingham resident John Convey, 53, is being looked into by the police.
In relation to the death, a 41-year-old male has been placed under custody. On Thursday, July 13, just before 11.30 p.m., Mr. Convey’s body was discovered on a grass verge in Lower Twydall Lane.
Tuesday, July 19, saw the man’s arrest by members of Kent Police’s Major Crime Unit, who are also conducting an investigation into his death. At this point, the cause of Mr. Convey’s passing is yet unknown.
The Gillingham resident who was arrested has subsequently been granted bail until Monday, September 11, as detectives continue to look into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Convey’s passing. Anyone who has not yet contacted Kent Police and has information or dashcam, CCTV, or other footage
