Systal Technology Solutions, which offers managed network, cloud, and security services to enterprise enterprises across more than 3,500 facilities in 93 countries, is led by Neil Nicolson, a co-founder and senior leader.
Founded in 2008, the company employs over 1,000 people today, having grown from 80 in 2008 to serve clients worldwide, including Scottish Power, WPP, and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners. Systal formally opened its US headquarters in Florida earlier this year in an effort to defy the “low-cost offshore model” that many in the sector have embraced.
With legal entities and delivery headquarters spread across 35 countries, our main office is located in Glasgow. We have about 1,000 employees worldwide.
Who is the business’s owner and how has it been funded up to this point?
The three founders of the company are me, chief revenue officer Douglas Cumming, and chief operating officer Gary O’Neil. We hold the bulk of the company. A minority share was acquired by private equity investor Inflexion Group in March 2021 in order to give the business financial credibility and support that will allow it to grow internationally. We were also able to divide ownership throughout the entire company as a result.
