A heartbroken The Bulls’ director of rugby, Jake White, stated that his team will return following their 16–21 loss to the Glasgow Warriors in the United Rugby Championship Final at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday. The Glasgow Warriors appeared to have everything figured out.

Since hindsight is a perfect science, White is undoubtedly wondering now whether there was anything they might have done differently.

Scott Cummings of Glasgow broke through the line just before halftime, cutting the margin to 7-16, and that was the play that decided the game. It destroyed the Bulls’ self-confidence.

A youthful Bulls team that continued to try to hit the mauling kings with their forwards was no match for the Warriors’ display of brute force.

The home team’s lone runners were tackled backwards, making it impossible to pass. Nevertheless, they persisted in their offensive strategy during the second half despite failing to uncover any weaknesses in the formidable Warrior defence.

“I’ve played rugby for a very long time, so I give them credit.” They did a great job defending. White said, “Some of our big ball carriers were tackled backwards.

The coach was hurt by Cummings’ attempt and realised that poor choices could have cost him the championship.

“And when I reflect…Maul, after 39 minutes, should we have kept the ball in play? Perhaps we should have been given a penalty, and now we’re ahead 16-0.

“It’s 13-7 after we break away, they get a penalty, and they kick in the corner.”

The Bulls were the URC’s leading try scorers heading into the Final. Their eighty attempts set a new mark.

However, only the powerful Marco van Staden was able to force his way past the formidable Warriors defence that evening in order to score the lone try for his team.

The TMO refused to give Wilco Louw, the other powerful player in the Bulls lineup, a chance because they thought Rory Darge was holding him back.

It’s probably more difficult for me. As I become older, I begin to mentally solve such problems.

However, we’ll be back.

We are playing Glasgow away, and I already know the day. I already marked it.

That’s all I have to say.

“There is nothing I say that will make this any simpler.

“We lost both at home and away to the Stormers.” I’m not
