HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – A Goshen man who went missing last week was found dead Monday in Hamilton Township, police confirm.
Hamilton Township police say they are investigating.
Kevin Ross vanished last week, according to his family who reported him missing and are now in mourning.
Ross’s daughter described him as giving and kind.
“He just wanted to see you smile and laugh,” Kelsey Ross said. “I don’t get to see his smile anymore, hear his laugh anymore.”
Her grandparents reported Ross missing after he had been gone for a week.
His family last saw him on Sept. 2. He was last seen in Goshen the following day.
She said her father suffered from schizophrenia and bipolar depression but wasn’t medicated.
Her grandparents said he went down the street to say hello to friends before he disappeared.
“He was riding a bicycle because he didn’t have a car,” his daughter recalled. “He didn’t come home Wednesday by dinner, that’s when grandmother knew something was wrong because he stopped answering phone calls.
Her grandmother called after her dad was found dead.
“I didn’t believe it at first,” Kelsey said. “I thought it was like some sick joke.”
Her dad had no known ties to Hamilton Township, she said, which leaves her questioning how he got there.
“I don’t wish this pain on anyone,” she said. “I know my dad wouldn’t want it on anybody, either.”
