Update issues why Robbie muirhead departs Greenock

The club can confirm that Robbie Muirhead has tonight signed for Livingston FC after rejecting an improved new contract offer at Cappielow, with his existing deal expiring this summer.

Initially signing from Dunfermline in June 2019 on a one-year deal, Robbie has gone on to make over 165 appearances for the Ton, scoring 44 goals in that time. Robbie has finished the club’s top scorer in the previous 3 seasons with his highest goals haul coming in the 2023/24 season, scoring 17 times.

The striker made his debut for the club in a 6-1 League Cup victory over Dumbarton, scoring his first goal just a couple games later against Annan Athletic in the League Cup.

In his time at the club, Robbie has scored a number of important goals with his most memorable coming against Airdrieonians in the Scottish Championship play-off final where his 3 goals across both legs helped keep Morton in the league.

We would like to thank Robbie for his contribution and efforts in a Morton top during his stay at the club and we wish him the very best for his future career.
