Derry City’s Cameron McJannet, a defender, has agreed to join Grimsby Town. For an undisclosed sum, the 25-year-old signs a two-year contract to join the team.

McJannet has played in almost 140 games for Derry City since joining the team in 2020.

Dave Artell, the manager of Grimsby Town, expressed his excitement at the new addition. “We’re thrilled to have acquired Cameron,” Artell remarked.

It has taken some time to arrive, and we appreciate Derry’s assistance.

“He’s dominant in the air, he’s got an excellent range of passing, he makes good decisions, and he can cover left-back if required,” Artell said in praising McJannet’s abilities. We think he’s a great addition, and we can improve him even further.

McJannet expressed his enthusiasm for the relocation by saying, “I’m really excited. I was thrilled about the prospect when I first learned about it, and I’m much more thrilled to be here.

“The coach likes the way I look on the pitch, both defending and playing well with the ball,” he continued. With any luck, I can bring that up.

The fourth player to join Grimsby Town during the summer transfer window is McJannet.
