A man has been arrested following a police pursuit in Halesowen
Authorities have confirmed that a car was stopped yesterday afternoon on Western Road in the town just before 3pm.
A police pursuit took place and a man was apprehended more than three-and-a-half miles away in Place.
It was revealed yesterday that a heavy police presence had descended on the estate and that a force helicopter had been drafted in to help officers.
An eye-witness also spotted police chasing a man through gardens in the area.
Police Scotland has since confirmed that a 37-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences and that enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.55pm on Monday, 13 May, 2024, officers attempted to stop a car on Western Road, halesowen
“A short pursuit took place, which came to an end in Halesowen
“A 37-year-old man was arrested nearby in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries remain ongoing.”
