Deadly collision between tractor and motorcycle in Harrogate

The A59 at Hampsthwaite, near Harrogate, saw a “serious collision,” for which North Yorkshire Police is asking for witnesses and dashcam evidence.

Yesterday, August 14, at 7:50 p.m., a red motorbike and a John Deere tractor were involved in an incident at the intersection with Burley Bank Road.

According to North Yorkshire Police, the motorbike rider passed a car and struck the tractor.

The tractor driver stayed on the site to help the investigating cops and was not hurt.

For a few hours, a portion of the A59 was closed to enable for on-site investigation work.

In an accident that happened yesterday, Sunday, August 11, a tractor ran over the side of a car carrying four people.

The tractor and automobile were involved in a two-vehicle road traffic collision. Danby and Stokesley personnel were called in, according to North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service.
